A crimping tool is used to permanently join two pieces of metal or plastic by deforming one or both of them in order to hold them together. The tool is generally used to crimp terminals onto the end of a wire or cable. They are typically made of metal and feature a handle and two or three dies that are used to squeeze the metal or plastic pieces together.
